AB6 is a small sugar cane village in Central Dominican Republic. The villagers have no access to clean drinking water. They are “permitted” by the owners of the sugar cane fields to collect water from a nearby watering trough used by cattle that is contaminated with cow feces and other bacteria. The only way to get potable water is to buy it, but most of the poor villages don’t have the money to do so.
